Barack the Youth Vote is a
group of students from across the country supporting Barack Obama in his historic run for president. The group is led
by student activist and author, Joe Vogel.
Barack the Youth Vote exemplifies the grassroots support Barack Obama has inspired
from young Americans everywhere. As a group, we are specifically committed to showing substantive support
in a way that goes beyond mere infatuation for a charismatic personality. The forthcoming book, Why Obama? , is an example of this. We want young people to be informed, to be active and creative, and to be full participants
in the political process.
In Barack Obama we see the best hope for our nation since RFK. It is largely because
of this that we have shaken off much of our disillusionment, cynicism, and frustration with politics, and are ready to take
action for the betterment of our country.
